Riot Games dropped a new video on YouTube to hype up League of Legends Season 2 of 2025, which kicks off on April 30.This season is all about the "Spirit Blossom" event—a theme that used to be a soft, extra story linked to an Ionian festival where people honor their lost loved ones. Now, fans are speculating that Riot might make Spirit Blossom part of the main story, especially with all the recent drama around Noxus.

Riot Games loves doing big collaborations. For this video, they invited one of the most popular anime music composers Kevin Penkin and Lilas Ikuta, the vocalist of the super popular Japanese duo YOASOBI. (Their song Idol was the most globally searched song in Google of 2023) 

The video focuses on a character named Xin Zhao, who seems to be the glue connecting different regions of Runeterra. Besides Xin Zhao, the video also features other characters like Lux, who gets a cool new skin for the season. There’s even a hint that the video might be teasing a brand new Ionian hero. Although we don’t know much about her yet, she might be some sort of "spirit of blooming" in line with the season’s theme.
