Just like Dota 2 made different mini-games a part of its big event, League of Legends decided to follow this successful path. Riot Games has introduced a new mini-game in League of Legends. The activity is available in the MOBA client on the main page or in a special section.

“The Demon’s Hand” is a mini-game that resembles Balatro—a variation of poker with roguelike elements. Players must deal a certain amount of damage to their opponent by combining cards from their deck to enhance their stats. Cards can be discarded up to three times per round.

Initially, only story mode is available, but after completing it and earning special sigils, two additional difficulty levels will be unlocked. Sigils can be obtained by achieving success in the mini-game and completing League of Legends quests.

The mini-game’s story follows Atakhan, a demon who was once a general in the army of Sahn-Uzal or Mordekaiser. Atakhan is also one of the epic monsters in Summoner’s Rift.

“The Demon’s Hand” will be available until April 29, along with all the rewards for completing different difficulty levels.
