After the big presentation of Switch 2, there were some questions, and one of the biggest was about the battery life. Nintendo has revealed details on its website. According to official information, the device features a 5,220 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is a significant improvement over the original Switch (4,310 mAh) and Lite versions(3,570 mAh).

You may think that bigger battery means longer sessions without charging? Ha-ha! Despite the larger battery, you'll be able to play from 2 to 6.5 hours, and that will depend on the game. This is lower than previous versions of the console, so in exact aspect we may call it a downgrade! As with previous models, a full charge in sleep mode takes about three hours.

The increased power consumption is largely due to key upgrades in the Switch 2. The console now features a 7.9-inch 1080p display with HDR10 support and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Additionally, the device supports 4K resolution when docked, includes a built-in microphone, features two USB-C ports, and comes with 256GB of internal storage.
