Founder of Digital Foundry, Richard Leadbetter, shared his thoughts on the potential performance of the PS5 Pro. Leadbetter does not believe that GTA VI will be able to run at 60 fps on the PS5 Pro, citing the processor's lack of power as the reason for the heavy load.

He noted that Grand Theft Auto games have always been known for their complex world simulations, which require significant CPU resources. This is why previous GTA titles have typically targeted 30 fps or lower on consoles.

Since the PS5 Pro uses the same processor as the PS5, Leadbetter believes developers will find it challenging to reach 60 fps in GTA VI on the Pro version if the base model is targeting 30 fps. While Sony has upgraded the GPU in the PS5 Pro, achieving a stable higher framerate requires CPU resources. This is not a GPU problem, it's a CPU problem," Leadbetter concluded.

He also mentioned that Rockstar Games could have initially aimed for 60 fps on the base PS5 for GTA VI, which would invalidate his prediction for the Pro model. However, there is currently no evidence that the game will run at 60 fps on the PS5.
