NVIDIA has released a major update to the beta version of its PC application. The key feature of this update is an option that automatically applies optimal settings for tuning the graphics card. This option also provides information about the status of the GPU.
When the user activates this function, it performs a scan, during which it is recommended to avoid tasks that heavily use the GPU. After the scan, the NVIDIA application offers optimal settings for overclocking the graphics card based on its analysis.
This feature is only available for owners of GeForce RTX graphics cards. Users of such graphics accelerators can also manually adjust the maximum voltage, power consumption, target temperature, and fan speed limits. These adjustments can be made on the "System" page in the NVIDIA application, where a new "Performance" tab has been added.
With the release of update 10.0.1, the NVIDIA application now supports the AV1 codec for the ShadowPlay feature. This codec provides up to 40% greater video compression efficiency compared to H.264. Additionally, NVIDIA has updated the overlay, making it easier to use and add filters.
