A historic event has happened in the world of Counter-Strike. The most expensive CS2 skin was sold for an astronomical seven-digit price. 

The exact price of the deal is unknown. Trader Roflm0nster mentioned that the skin's owner had previously refused to sell the item multiple times, even when offered a million dollars. While the buyout price was $1.5 million, the real price likely is in between, closer to the latter.

The AK-47 | Case Hardened skin with pattern #661 and StatTrak module was crafted in February 2024. The item is in Factory New condition, and this is the only skin in the game with such a combination. Consider that currently, there are more than 1.2 billion different skins, and see the rarity. Moreover, the probability of opening this skin out of the case is approximately equal to 1 in 21 million. 

Previously, fans could obtain a similar skin in "Minimal Wear" condition, and one such AK-47 with super rare Titan (Holo) stickers from Katowice 2014 major was sold for $530,000.
