It feels like Valve has been playing whac-a-mole with Dota 2 over the past week, particularly concerning the issues with Hand of Midas. The main topic this week has been the bugs associated with this item. To their credit, the developers quickly fixed the major bug with Techies that everyone was exploiting because it granted easy wins. However, there are still several bugs related to this seemingly cursed item.

In a recent minor update, bugs with Arc Warden and Lone Druid were also addressed. Arc Warden's Tempest Double, with some skill, could restore a charge on Hand of Midas for his teammates. In Lone Druid's case, simply transferring the item from the hero to his bear allowed the player to gain two charges on the cooldown of one.

While both of these bugs are quite troublesome, they aren't as critical as the Techies bug. Yes, they allow players to significantly increase their farming speed, but not instantly. Nonetheless, it's good to see the developers responding quickly to these bugs, especially with The International 2024 just around the corner.
