Most Dota 2 players have likely completed the available acts of the Crownfall event and are eagerly awaiting new content, as the current act has been ongoing since July 10. This delay in releasing the final part of the story could be due to the extensive content developers are preparing. The resolution of Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit’s storyline is just around the corner. Crownfall Act Four, along with the new hero Kez, will be released today.

Initially, dataminers had predicted a release date for the fourth act as September 24. However, as seen, this community speculation didn’t pan out — although Valve’s original plan did seem to align with it. This was evidenced by a bug on September 24, when the timer triggered, and access to the fourth act appeared in the Dota 2 client, but instead of an event page, players encountered only a black screen. Since then, several potential dates surfaced within the community, but none proved accurate.

Yesterday, however, Valve finally broke the silence and released a comic dedicated to Kez and the events leading up to Crownfall. With this release, they also announced the date for the new content. Only a few hours remain, and soon we’ll know when exactly the Dota 2 event will conclude.
