The Swiss Stage of League of Legends World Championship 2024 has come to an end. While we could expect all four teams from both LPL and LCK to take all the spots, the West will have its representative due to the lucky draw of Round 5. FlyQuest managed to reach playoffs with a 3-2 score, but in the quarterfinals, the American team will face Gen.G Esports, arguably the main favourite to win the tournament.

The main match out of these four quarterfinals will be, of course, T1 against Top Esports. They had already faced each other in Round 1, and back then, the Chinese team was stronger. However, we know that Faker gets a huge buff in Best-of-5 matches against LPL representatives. T1 currently doesn't look invincible, but Faker and his team have an enormous advantage when it comes to experience. This year, Faker set a record of 100 wins at Worlds, a result that will take a long time to overcome.

Here is the Worlds 2024 playoffs schedule. All matches are best-of-5:

Quarterfinals:

  • October 17 - LNG Esports vs. Weibo Gaming
  • October 18 - HLE vs. Bilibili Gaming
  • October 19 - T1 vs. Top Esports
  • October 20 - Gen.G Esports vs. FlyQuest

Semifinals:

  • October 26 - LNG/WBG vs. HLE/BLG
  • October 27 - T1/TES vs. GEN/FLY

Finals:

  • November 2, London
