BLAST Slam II became the second major tournament not only in the BLAST series but also in the 2025 competitive season. Most teams simply relocated from Belgrade, where they had competed in FISSURE Battleground, to Copenhagen, where a tournament with an intriguing playoff format awaited them.

The Gauntlet format allows for potential legendary stories, where a team starting from the first round of the playoffs heroically fights through multiple opponents. In Copenhagen, the standout performers in this format were Team Falcons and PARIVISION, each playing three matches in the playoffs. However, neither team managed to reach the grand final, which was instead contested by the group stage winners—Tundra Esports and Gaimin Gladiators.

Last year, Gaimin Gladiators parted ways with durachyo, and now the carry, who plays for Tundra Esports, is proving that his former team might have made the wrong decision.

Tundra Esports claimed the top prize of $400,000, while Gaimin Gladiators took home half that amount. Nigma Galaxy and Team Falcons each earned $80,000.
