IGN just dropped some fresh gameplay for The Outer Worlds 2 — the sequel to the awesome space RPG by Obsidian. The video is about 11 minutes long and shows off cool futuristic locations, sneaky takedowns, gunfights, and the game’s UI.
This time around, the devs took inspiration from games like Deus Ex and Dishonored. Stealth is a lot smoother now. For example, enemies have a purple health bar that shows how much damage you're doing from the shadows. You also get new powers — like disintegrating enemy bodies so no one finds them and sounds the alarm.
Gunplay got some love too. It’s not turning into a pure shooter, but fighting feels way more fun. You can now slide while aiming and even slow down time for more epic moves.
And don’t worry — the classic dialogue system is back too! You’ll be able to pick from different responses during conversations, which can change what happens next in the game.
At the end of the video, they hint that the sequel is gonna be way bigger than the first game. It’s expected to come out later this year.
