EA announced a special tool titled Battlefield Labs—basically, an internal closed beta of future games in the series. The developers also shared a few seconds of gameplay from the current pre-alpha version.

Inside Battlefield Labs, those who are invited will be offered to try out core mechanics and concepts—though not all of them will make it into the final release. Participants will have to sign an NDA before accessing various gameplay elements. The available modes will include Conquest and Breakthrough. Early testing phases will focus on combat and the game's destruction system, followed by balance testing.

Developers have opened pre-registration for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. A few thousand players will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans to expand to more regions later.

The shooter has officially entered its "key stage of development," according to the creators. As of now, there is no official release date for the new Battlefield. The game is being developed by four teams: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
