The developers at Ubisoft Mainz have unveiled fresh details about Anno 117: Pax Romana through a newly released trailer. While earlier announcements mentioned exploration of two regions—Lazio and Albion—the preview hints that Lazio acts as a starting point before transitioning to the primary setting in Albion.

According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, Lazio begins as a serene locale until an unforeseen disaster compels players to journey into unexplored lands. These lands represent Britain (Albion), infamous for its adverse conditions: unforgiving climate, rebellious tribes, and distance from Rome, all complicating governance.

Players assume the role of governor tasked with overcoming these obstacles without resorting solely to violence. Instead, they may foster harmony by honoring local customs. A standout feature includes customizable ships allowing strategic customization—choose between increased speed via oarsmen or enhanced firepower through onboard archery turrets.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is slated for a 2025 launch across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms.
