Recent Apex Legends update brought big and unexpected problems to the playerbase. It would be understandable if there were some issues with weapons or skins, but this bug resets players progress! Moreover, it even resets purchases from the in-game shop, as data is being reverted to the period from two weeks to around three months.

Many different users faced this problem and created different threads on Reddit and Steam. We can say that this is not a rare occasion. Moreover, Respawn Entertainment, the developer of Apex Legends, acknowledged the problem:

As of the moment of writing, the dev team rolled out an emergency patch to prevent potential resets. However, to those who are already impacted by this bug, Respawn asks to “hang tight” as no estimated deadlines were mentioned.

Currently, there is an in-game event called Shadow Society happening in Apex Legends. It is unknown if this bug will have an impact on its dates or not. Let’s hope it will finish sooner than later.
