After the start of early access to Star Wars Outlaws, some PS5 players encountered bugs due to the release of the day-one patch. Ubisoft urged them to start a new game, even though some had already spent several hours in the action.

The publisher's suggestion was criticized online, especially because it affected owners of the extended editions, which cost more than $100. Soon, Ubisoft sent another letter to the affected players, apologizing for the inconvenience.

Players were offered two rewards as compensation: a cosmetic item for their ship and 100 Ubisoft Store points. These points can be exchanged for a 20% discount or used to unlock in-game items in various Ubisoft titles. Typically, these points are awarded for completing specific tasks in games.

However, some players were, to say the least, not thrilled with this offer, especially considering that these are the same buyers of the extended editions who had already spent a significant amount of money. Nevertheless, this seems to be where the story ends, whether the parties involved like it or not.
