The remake of Resident Evil 4 has officially sold over 10 million copies worldwide, Capcom revealed in a recent announcement. This impressive figure cements the game’s place as one of the most commercially successful remakes in the company's history.

As part of the announcement, Capcom shared a thank-you video with fans and reflected on the game’s strong performance since its release a little over two years ago. The remake sold 4 million copies in the opening weeks alone, setting the tone for its steady momentum.

Capcom also updated cumulative sales numbers for other notable Resident Evil titles:

  • Resident Evil 7 Biohazard — 15 million

  • Resident Evil 2 Remake — 15 million

  • Resident Evil Village — 11 million

  • Resident Evil 3 Remake — 10 million

With more than 114,000 reviews and a 97% approval score on Steam, RE4 Remake continues to enjoy strong player support. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Xbox Series, and iOS. Development of the next title is already underway, with leaks hinting at a story starring Leon and Jill.
