Studio The Farm 51 found itself in a difficult financial situation following the unsuccessful launch of Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone in early access. Due to extremely low sales—just 7 thousand copies on Steam—the company had to lay off 15 employees.

The developers attempted to secure additional funding through the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, where they managed to raise $218 thousand, but this amount proved insufficient. With a total project budget of 30 million złoty, the studio was unable to cover all expenses.

According to information from the Bankier.pl forum, development director Wojciech Pazdur informed the team about staff reductions and the scaling back of the project. Nevertheless, the remaining developers will continue working on improving the game, and a full release is still planned, albeit in a more modest format.
