At the PAX East 2025 gaming expo, Canadian studio Digital Extremes showcased the long-awaited gameplay of Soulframe β€” their new ambitious online-RPG project. During a six-minute presentation, developers revealed key features of the upcoming Preludes 10 update for the closed pre-alpha version of the game.

Main innovations:

  • 13 unique mystical moths with special properties, scattered across various locations in the game world. Collected insects can be used to modify and enhance the character's weapons.
  • A demonstration of a new faction boss of impressive size, currently created using temporary game assets.

The final part of the presentation focused on the environmental interaction system, including peaceful communication with forest inhabitants. A full announcement of gameplay features will take place at TennoCon in July 2025.

Soulframe is a cooperative hybrid MMORPG set in a fantasy universe, developed by Canadian studio Digital Extremes under the direction of former creators of Warframe and Dark Sector. The action unfolds in a meticulously crafted fantasy world with deep mythology, where players will assume the role of an Envoy β€” a representative of a mysterious faction possessing unique supernatural abilities.
