Marcin Blacha, VP and Narrative Lead at CD Projekt Red, emphasized that Project Hadar demands an "exceptional team." Skilled developers are encouraged to check out the open roles and contribute to the game’s creation.
Unlike The Witcher series (adapted from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels) and Cyberpunk 2077 (rooted in a tabletop RPG), Project Hadar is set in CD Projekt’s entirely new universe. Details remain scarce (beyond confirmation that it won’t be a space horror), and until recently, only around twenty people were involved in its development.

The fact that top developers are describing this as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance" hints that the project has transitioned from early concepts to full-scale production.
CD Projekt Red is juggling several projects at once. The biggest team is working on Project Polaris, the first entry in the new Witcher trilogy featuring Ciri. Two other teams are developing a Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up and a game within The Witcher universe.
