Ghost Ship Games has launched the closed alpha of Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, a standalone spin-off of the co-op shooter known for its bearded dwarves and underground adventures. While the core gameplay — mining resources and fighting alien threats in procedural caves — remains intact, Rogue Core takes a fresh turn toward roguelike survival.

Players can expect:

  • Cooperative missions for 1 to 4 players
  • Heavily randomized cave layouts and enemy spawns
  • New survival-focused mechanics
  • A different experience with every run

The alpha test, now live on PC, arrived quickly after being announced — just as the developers promised. Though far from final, the current build is already offering a deep dive into the game’s evolving mechanics and replay-focused design.

To mark the occasion, the studio hosted a two-hour official livestream. Viewers got a first look at intense combat scenarios, dynamic team strategies, and upgraded tools. Ghost Ship Games confirmed that this alpha is only the beginning — many features will be added or changed before launch.
