Dead by Daylight is famous for its horror atmosphere, and considering how its developers and publishers wanted different collaborations, the arrival of the iconic masks of the legendary alternative metal band Slipknot was only a matter of time.

This collaboration was announced quite some time ago. Before that, there was a partnership with Iron Maiden, another legendary heavy-metal group with an iconic mascot, Eddie. Now, we can watch a trailer of Dead by Daylight x Slipknot and see how it will look:

The trailer does a great job of copying the atmosphere of Slipknot’s iconic music video Psychosocial (it has more than 500 million views on YouTube). The eight masks are based on those of the current members of Slipknot, excluding the anonymous drummer.

Kirby Tailor, Dead By Daylight product manager, was really excited about this collaboration:

Getting to bring Slipknot’s iconic masks to life in Dead by Daylight was incredibly rewarding. Each mask carries a striking, distinct design, so a lot of our creative explorations were focused around finding which Killer was the perfect pairing. Unsurprisingly, they felt right at home in the world of Dead by Daylight. We’re excited to see what Outfit combinations players will come up with since most of these can be mixed with existing and future Cosmetics.
