British studio White Paper Games, known for psychological projects like Ether One, The Occupation, and the cinematic Dahlia View, has unveiled details of its new dark work—the psychological thriller I Am Ripper. The game transports players to late-1980s Britain, where a blood-chilling story unfolds against a backdrop of economic collapse and social tension.

The plot takes place in 1988 in a rainy port town on England's northwestern coast. When the town is shaken by a series of sadistic murders, it becomes clear: they are all the work of one person. Players will face a complex investigation with morally ambiguous decisions, where every choice will influence the fates of the townspeople.

Key features of I AM RIPPER:

  • Branching narrative with a consequence system
  • Cinematic storytelling with deep character development
  • High environmental interactivity

Particular attention deserves the implemented "seam-cutting" mechanic—this element highlights the developers' painstaking attention to detail in crafting the atmosphere.

The game is planned for release on PC. The exact launch date remains unknown.
