Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was canceled in 2008, so it never made it to market. According to co-founder of Free Radical design, Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was complete when LucasArts closed it.

Original and Prequel trilogies soldiers fighting across iconic Star Wars locales with the gameplay similar to the first two Star Wars: Battlefront entries. Jedi general Rahm Kota, who debuted in 2008's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and would later be mentioned in 2022's Obi-Wan Kenobi series, is briefly visible to viewers.

Although it acknowledges that there are certain flaws and glitches that may never be fixed, Free Radical Archives now intends to finish this unannounced version of Battlefront 3 as best it can. In order to give players a taste of what might have been with a playable version of the sadly unfinished Star Wars: Battlefront game, the organization claims it plans to make the final product available for free.

The second part of co-op shooter was listed in our Top-20 games for couples on PS4.
