The DOOM community continues to experiment with running the game on different platforms. Recently, another techno-enthusiast boasted the results of the experiment. NyanSatan managed to run the classic shooter DOOM on Apple's Lightning/HDMI adapter.

As explained by the creator, the adapter has its own firmware based on iOS and processor with a frequency of up to 168 MHz.

He first accessed the firmware and then ran the game; he used a MacBook to transfer the firmware, as the adapter lacks memory.

A bit about the new iteration: Players will be able to reduce the aggression of demons in the settings of DOOM: The Dark Ages. Making the shooter as accessible as possible is the aim of its development. DOOM: The Dark Ages will provide a lot more customization than previous id Software projects.

According to executive producer Marty Stratton, the studio aimed to make the game as accessible as possible. Players will be able to modify the enemies' damage and difficulty as well as the projectiles' speed, the amount of damage they take, and other aspects such as the game's tempo, level of aggression, and parry time.

Additionally, Stratton assured that one does not need to have played DOOM: The Dark Ages to comprehend the plots of DOOM: The Dark Ages and DOOM: Eternal.
