An Elden Ring patch 1.13 was recently released, bringing balance changes, buffing the Revered Spirit Ash blessings, increasing damage from certain weapons, and making one quality of life improvement that some players were eagerly waiting for years.

Here are the main features:

  • In situations where your mount dies and the Spectral Steed Whistle is used, the "Yes" option is now automatically highlighted in the pop-up window. Players no longer need to waste precious seconds during combat to move the cursor from the "Cancel" option to accept.
  • The poise damage for regular attacks has been increased for various weapons. Katanas, spears, straight swords, and other weapons now also damage enemies more effectively.
  • Summoned spirits now deal more damage and better resist incoming damage (except for the Mimic Tear) if the Revered Spirit Ash blessings are at level 5 or higher. Additionally, the mentioned characteristics of summons improve further when upgraded to +8 or higher.
  • A slew of adjustments for equipment, skills, prayers, and spells. For instance, the incantation Minor Erdtree now restores more health points.

The Whistle change brought happiness to many Reddit users as some of them prayed for this change to happen. 

What this update does not include are the names of some translators from the team. Certain specialists stopped being mentioned in the credits after the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Bandai Namco has promised to fix this issue in a future patch.
