Scammers are sending out fake emails claiming to offer early access to The Witcher 4. CD Projekt RED has stepped in to warn fans: there’s no official beta happening, and these emails are completely fake.

According to the devs, they're not running any kind of public testing right now. If that ever changes, CDPR says players will only hear about it through their official website or social media — never through random email invites.

The studio is taking steps to block the spread of the scam, but asked everyone to be careful. Some fans have joked that clicking the fake download link launches a command line window — usually a sign of malware or harmful changes to your system. Definitely not worth the risk.

Despite all this, some fans are still trying to shoot their shot, asking CDPR to let them test the game for real. But The Witcher 4 isn’t close to launch — developers say it won’t be out until 2027 at the earliest. So yeah, no betas anytime soon.

For now, the only official content we’ve seen is the teaser trailer released back in December 2024. Anything else is fake — and possibly dangerous.
