User dvveet on platform X highlighted a statement from insider Wazzup claiming that DbD will soon introduce a Creator Codes system "similar to Fortnite". The specifics of how this system will work remain unclear. Previously, Behaviour announced DbD's content plan for April, including participation in Horror Con Scotland, the return of the Blood Moon event, and a promise to reveal details about the Creator Program in May.

Notably, dvveet speculated about potential limitations of the new system—unlike Epic's inclusive Support-A-Creator program, codes in DbD will likely only be available to select content creators.

The leaked information has sparked mixed reactions among smaller content creators. Discussions reveal concerns that the system will exclusively benefit official DbD partners, leaving "smaller" creators without support.

For comparison: Epic's program requires just 1,000 subscribers on YouTube, Twitch, X, or TikTok. This initiative allows content creators to receive financial compensation for developing game-related content featuring titles from the Epic Games Store catalog.
