The epic journey of Baldur’s Gate 3 reaches a new milestone as Larian Studios launches Patch 8 the final major update for the acclaimed RPG. Swen Vincke revealed that the patch is enormous, with detailed notes spanning 48 pages and nearly 20,000 words.

A standout addition is the introduction of 12 new subclasses, which significantly expands player options. Hundreds of refinements and fixes accompany the update, along with some likely hidden gems for fans to uncover on their own.

To celebrate the occasion, the studio released a charming animated short that stars the game’s iconic companions and features Swen Vincke in full medieval armor.

The update also adds collectible Steam trading cards for BG3, allowing users to create profile badges and unlock visual goodies like backgrounds and emojis.

“This is it. The final big patch for Baldur’s Gate 3. You helped make BG3 a far greater success than we ever dreamed possible and your passion could’ve kept us improving it endlessly. But then we’d have no time left to build something new.”
