Following a subpar debut, the creators of Civilization 7 pledge to improve the game. With an emphasis on the usability of the interface and gameplay, Firaxis Games has identified the issues and is working on solutions.

The game has 47% positive ratings on Steam. Buyers complain not about the mechanics, but about the simplified interface, lack of some features and lack of content. In response, Firaxis announced that the priority will be interface improvements: they will increase the readability of the map, refine the menus and make the interface more user-friendly.

The developers will add:

  • the ability to create teams in multiplayer;
  • new types of maps;
  • customization (changing the names of religions and cities).

Update 1.1.0 with balance edits and improvements will be released in March. The full release of Civilization 7 will take place on February 11.

The game was released too soon and needs a lot of work, according to many reviewers. The $70 price tag has drawn particular criticism because, in the opinion of players, it does not reflect the product's current quality. In order to restore the game to its previous splendor, fans of the series hope that the developers will consider their feedback and release updates that address the issues.

Fans of the Civilization series hope that the seventh installment will continue the series' reputation for excellence and attention to detail. However, not as it is now.
