Currently, the PS5 version of the game shows blurry visuals in performance mode, and the only option for owners of the base console is to wait for patches. According to game director Naoki Hamaguchi, the improvements are possible within the technical limitations of the platform. 

“After releasing the promo for the PC version, we received a lot of requests for a similar update for the PS5 version, and I think we'd like to do it at some point within the limits of what's possible with the PS5 version's performance.”

Players are hoping that Square Enix will go along with fan requests and improve the visuals on consoles.
