Notably, both individual gamers and large fan communities participated, including UESP and The Imperial Library, who aimed to honor role-playing forum contributor Lorrane Pairrel but were outbid at around $60,000.

While Bethesda has yet to reveal specifics about the winning character’s role or significance, fans are actively debating potential outcomes. Some worry that such initiatives could disrupt the game's lore, while others see it as a meaningful way to integrate the community into the project. Meanwhile, insiders continue leaking details about TES VI hinting at advanced shipbuilding mechanics, naval battles, and the return of dragons to the game world.
