After delaying the release of Killing Floor 3 due to beta test feedback, Tripwire Interactive has officially confirmed a new launch date. The first-person horror shooter will now arrive on July 27, available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms. The developers used the extra time to implement several key changes based on community input from the closed beta.
According to a recent post on the official forum, Tripwire made substantial adjustments to the game's combat system, redesigned multiple environments, and enhanced both the user interface and enemy AI behavior. These improvements aim to provide smoother gameplay and a more immersive experience.
Players can expect fluid movement transitions, newly animated attacks, and the return of some fan-favorite combat moves from Killing Floor 2. Zeds have also evolved—they now stagger, trip, and can enter a headless wandering state, in which they pose an even greater threat unless eliminated quickly.
Tripwire will host a panel titled Killing Floor 3: The Art and Design of Horror at PAX East tomorrow, May 10. Fans can look forward to exclusive behind-the-scenes content, developer insights, and answers to burning community questions.
