Early access players of Marathon, the upcoming title from Bungie, have heavily criticized the game’s aim assist system on PC, likening it to cheating mechanics. Testers have described the “magnetic aiming” mechanic as making mouse-and-keyboard gameplay excessively easy, detracting from the intended challenge. Something like this shouldn’t exist in a serious PC game.” This sentiment was echoed by others who believe the feature undermines the skill-based experience expected from PC gaming.
