Despite the developers of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trying to keep the title as close as possible to the original, the remake will introduce several new elements. One of these is a full-fledged third-person view.

This third-person mode is called "New Style" and resembles the camera system from Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. That version allowed better environmental awareness, though it became cumbersome during firefights, often requiring choosing a first-person perspective for better accuracy.

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, New Style will incorporate mechanics seen in modern action games. We will see everything from the position over the protagonist’s shoulder and can quickly switch to an aiming mode while offering full control over the viewing angle.

However, the classic camera modes remain intact. The original style will be called "Legacy Style". Both the new and classic camera options allow switching to a first-person view.

However, switching between styles on the fly won't be allowed as it would make the game too easy. The developers noted that the modern third-person view significantly simplifies the gameplay experience. While we still don't know the release date, the variety of different available details brings us to a positive mood that the waiting won't be too long.
