If you were planning to buy an Activision Blizzard game, you might have missed the best time to do so. After the deal with Microsoft closed, the new company owner decided to review Activision's prices, which weren't the best to begin with. Starting today, the cost for most Activision Blizzard projects will significantly increase. And this was Microsoft's decision.

Reports indicate that prices are primarily being raised on older released projects. The increase is noticeable in the digital Steam store for regions such as Brazil, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Turkey, Argentina, India and several other countries. This affected all classic parts of Call of Duty, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Crash Bandicoot 4, Prototype, and other projects. Their prices have risen by an average of $10 or its local currency equivalent.

The price hike affected not only games on Steam. As players report, it also touched Battle.net, but there the prices only increased for in-game purchases and donation items. Microsoft's decision might be driven by several different reasons. The company might be aiming to standardize prices for its products, or it's related to the potential inclusion of Activision Blizzard games in the Game Pass catalog.
