There are plenty of rumors surrounding Mortal Kombat 1, particularly the speculation that the current wave of DLC will be the last—meaning that after T-1000, no new fighters will be added. However, it's too early to dwell on that, as we've just received a fresh gameplay trailer for the Liquid Terminator in Mortal Kombat 1.
Unlike superheroes like Homelander, T-1000 doesn't showcase flashy agility or aerial dominance. Instead, his signature ability is transforming into liquid metal, which could be used effectively for dodging attacks and executing extended combos.
Naturally, T-1000's Fatality contains a reference to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In it, he uses a giant truck similar to the one from the iconic chase scene. However, the full finishing move wasn't shown—partly to avoid an 18+ rating on the trailer and partly to maintain a bit of suspense.
T-1000 will be added to the game on March 18, accompanied by a new Kameo fighter, Madam Bo. As for the future of the game, neither Ed Boon nor NetherRealm have shared any details yet.
