A new update for Escape from Tarkov—version 0.16.2.0—has just been released. One of the biggest changes is the improved AI behavior for bots. They will now turn their gaze toward their suspected targets, have reduced visibility inside vegetation, and won’t be able to spot enemies hidden in bushes.

Additionally, the spawn rate for all bosses has been increased by 30%. The Cultists' spawn rate has also been raised, though the Partisan will now appear less frequently in PvE mode. Furthermore, PMC bots’ weapons now have higher maximum and current durability, and they will now perceive Scavs as enemies with an 80% higher probability than before.

The "Customs" location has received performance improvements, and RAM usage optimizations have been applied across all locations during raids. Shadow quality settings have also been adjusted, making the game run more smoothly on lower-end systems.

Of course, the update also fixes over a dozen bugs, including quest adjustments, weapon behavior fixes, and material rendering corrections. The full patch notes can be found in the game's official website.
