Starfield is getting better thanks to modders. A modder named Revan released a high-resolution texture pack that improves the planets' look.

The most attention was given to objects in our Solar System. The enthusiast enhanced the appearance of the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter by uploading original textures from NASA's website. The images were upscaled to 8K resolution.

Additionally, the appearance of Earth and many other celestial bodies was updated. NASA photos didn't fit Starfield's depiction of Earth because, in the game's storyline, it turned into a desert.

Textures for Earth and other celestial bodies underwent an upscaling process.
