The action RPG No Rest for the Wicked has received its largest update yet, titled The Breach, significantly expanding the game world and gameplay. With this update, the handcrafted environments have doubled the explorable area compared to the early access launch, bringing fresh challenges and visual diversity.

A wealth of new story content has been added, complete with quests and cutscenes that expand the game’s narrative universe. Gameplay systems have also evolved: merchant inventories are now limited daily, and item enchantment and drop mechanics have been reworked for better balance. A major overhaul of the food system offers a deeper survival experience.
Players can now equip more than 150 unique weapons, including two entirely new categories — wands and gloves. The game introduces new campaign bosses, nine Plague bosses, and reworks three existing ones. Two new enemy factions and nine additional enemies enhance variety, while players also get a new customizable home.
For those seeking greater difficulty, a permadeath hardcore mode has been introduced. The update includes improved performance with DLSS 4.0 support, faster load times, and numerous quality-of-life changes like updated tooltips and better fast travel. Audio has been enhanced with new tracks and character lines, and hundreds of bug fixes have been implemented.
No Rest for the Wicked remains in early access on Steam, with a console release set to follow version 1.0.
