Sloclap, the studio that made Sifu, is swapping fists for football with their new game Rematch, launching June 19 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC for $29.99. It’s a big shift from martial arts to sci-fi soccer, but it still carries that same fast-paced, stylish energy Sloclap is known for.

The latest trailer gives off serious Galactik Football vibes — yeah, that French cartoon with futuristic soccer. Set in 2060, Rematch imagines a world so wrecked by climate disaster that global powers actually start working together. Out of that chaos comes this hyper-stylized, arcade-style game that feels like football turned up to eleven. No offsides, no fouls, no VAR — just raw, reactive gameplay in 5v5 and 4v4 matches built around teamwork, timing, and flair.

The game drops with three different editions and tons of customizable gear. And if you’re curious to try it early, there’s an open beta on April 18–19, but only on PC. You can sign up now at playrematch.com and get a taste of what makes Rematch so different — tight matches, wild moves, and strategy that changes on the fly.
