When you create a game which has a long life expectancy, it is inevitable that some of your big events will be a total miss. The Grinding Gear Games studio is learning that a hard way. The "Dawn of the Hunt" update has disappointed Path of Exile 2 playerbase. On Steam, the game’s reviews have dropped to "mixed" based on the last 6,600 reviews.
Most players have encountered bugs and freezes with the release of the "Dawn of the Hunt" patch. However, the main complaints from gamers are not about this: the PoE 2 community believes the developers went too far with balance adjustments, heavily nerfing most classes and making the game not just difficult, but tedious. Monsters on maps are reportedly dying too slowly, even with well-optimized builds, making the gameplay feel repetitive and tiresome over time.

We've yet to see the response from developers. Maybe they will make the game balance lighter for players.
