Tencent and KRAFTON prove they can compete in the crossover arena, as PUBG Mobile unveils an exclusive collaboration with "Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End". While most franchises tend to merge in Fortnite, PUBG Mobile's Japanese servers are now hosting this unique anime crossover.

Players can enjoy:

  • Four character skins: Frieren, Fern, Himmel, Stark
  • A themed parachute
  • An upgradable machine gun
  • A mimic backpack

According to Krafton, PUBG has generated approximately $680 million in revenue throughout 2024, marking the highest earnings in the franchise's history.

Additionally, Krafton has hinted at launching another major franchise, utilizing its PUBG expertise. However, no further details have been disclosed.

The anime "Frieren,Beyond Journey’s End" is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. The original manga remains ongoing, having been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. Notably, the anime’s second season is set to premiere in 2026.
