Goodwin Games, known for Selfloss, is back with a new project: Quite a Ride. This survival horror game challenges players to navigate a terrifying, ever-shifting environment on a bicycle.
The protagonist finds himself stranded in an anomaly after setting out to visit his girlfriend. Alone on a desolate road surrounded by dense fog, he must contend with sinister forces. Trees whisper unsettling secrets, phones deliver strange messages, and shadowy figures lurk in the darkness. Players will explore procedurally generated points of interest, solve cryptic puzzles tied to abandoned labs, and avoid monstrous entities hiding in the mist. Managing resources like your smartphone’s battery—recharged only by pedaling—will be crucial for survival.
Inspired by Stephen King novels, Pacific Drive, and the surreal art of Simon Stålenhag, Quite a Ride aims to create a deeply immersive experience. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game will feature a dynamic world shaped by collective player progress. While it’s set to release on Steam, the exact date remains under wraps.
With its focus on resource management, environmental storytelling, and atmospheric tension, Quite a Ride promises to deliver a fresh take on survival horror.
