It has become a sort of tradition when developers of popular esports games make big announcements right before the grand finals of the world championship. Ubisoft is no exception, and considering that Rainbow Six Siege is moving into its tenth year, we could expect something big… And it happened!
Ubisoft announced Siege X, a big upgrade to the Rainbow Six Siege. The developers mentioned that this is not a sequel, yet it is not a simple update either. We can guess Siege X to Rainbow Six Siege will be something similar to what Counter-Strike 2 is to Global Offensive. A big upgrade that makes you think it is a different game, yet it will keep all the progress and all the data from the previous version.
More details will be shown at the special presentation on March 13. Ubisoft boasts that it will be a three-hour-long event with a live audience in Atlanta. Also, to celebrate ten years of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft released a special celebratory pack where people will have the opportunity to open legendary skins from the very early seasons of the game-basically all-in-one pack.
