Ubisoft has announced that with the start of the Operation New Blood season in Rainbow Six Siege, they will be introducing an in-game subscription called Membership.

Subscribers will receive a premium battle pass with instant progression of ten levels per month, as well as in-game rewards including currency and bundles. The battle pass will still be available for purchase separately.

One of the main benefits of the subscription, according to Ubisoft, is access to a unique legendary gear set. However, to collect all three parts of the set, players need to maintain the subscription for three months. As a bonus, users will also receive an animated background for their player card.

Not all players are happy with the introduction of the subscription. Among the top comments under the season's overview video are remarks that nobody asked for the Membership.

Additionally, players expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of significant updates in the season. According to the Return YouTube Dislike extension, the video has 17,000 dislikes compared to 8,000 likes.
