The last day of Six Invitational is the day when Ubisoft makes its big announcements regarding Rainbow Six Siege. One such tradition includes the announcement of the new operator. This time, Ubisoft revealed Rauora, the newest attack operator from New Zealand.

Her main feature is the DOM launcher, a bulletproof (yet it can be destroyed by explosives) shield which can be deployed only in the doorways. It has a trigger that can be shot by anyone, but it takes different time to open up depending on who made the shot: for the attacking team the time is one second, while the defenders will have to wait three seconds. In situations when the defuser is planted this might be a crucial difference maker.

Rauora also introduces a brand new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege, Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol. It has a red dot sight and enlarged magazine. Her main weapon alternatives are M249 LMG or 417 marksman rifle.

Rauora will be available on the test servers next week. As for the live version of the game, it will take a little bit longer.
