According to an insider going by the handle fraxiswinning, Ubisoft will reveal Rainbow Six Siege 2 during the Six Invitational 2025, which takes place at MGM Music Hall from February 14–16.

According to his data, the project is codenamed Siege X and runs on an updated engine with improved graphics, including redesigned textures and models.

In addition, the old temporary events from the first part may not return - Ubisoft is allegedly betting on new events. The game is expected to be released in the second season of the tenth year of support, that is, in the middle of 2025.

Previously, Rainbow Six Siege creative director Alexander Karpazis said that a full-fledged sequel is not necessary, as the current version of the game continues to develop. But if the leak is true, Ubisoft may have changed its mind.

Rumors should always be treated with caution. Until Ubisoft makes an official statement, it all remains speculation.

The Rainbow Six Siege World Championship, Six Invitational 2025, is quickly approaching. In Boston, twenty teams will compete for a share of $3,000,000 and the championship title. Oxygen Esports, the North American Last Chance Qualifier champions, are the final team to qualify.

The competition with twenty teams is uncommon. Although Ubisoft will probably stick to the same idea as the previous year—four groups with round robin between five teams, followed by the Double Elimination playoffs—we might see an unexpected format. 

First place receives a skip in round one, the fourth place starts in the lower bracket, the remaining players enter the playoffs in the upper bracket, and the last place of each quintet is eliminated.
