CD Projekt RED has unexpectedly released a heartfelt tribute video on X (formerly Twitter) to honor William "Bill" Roberts, the actor behind the iconic voice of Vesemir in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This marks the first time the studio publicly acknowledged his passing, which occurred in February but was only recently shared with fans.

William "Bill" Roberts was a talented actor whose portrayal of Vesemir brought depth and warmth to one of the most beloved characters in the series. Vesemir, the wise and seasoned witcher from Kaer Morhen, served as a mentor and father figure to Geralt of Rivia. Roberts' performance resonated deeply with players, particularly those who experienced the game in its original English version.

In the tribute video, CD Projekt RED expressed their condolences and reflected on Roberts' contributions:

This year, we lost William 'Bill' Roberts, who portrayed Vesemir in The Witcher series. Today, we say goodbye with heavy hearts. You taught us, guided us, and cared for us. Kaer Morhen will never be the same without you. Safe travels, dear friend.
