PlayStation released a video highlighting the technical features of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake. The iconic horror will support 4K resolution, 3D audio, and DualSense controller features like haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and lighting. This adds up to immersion-focused features like 90s filter, which will make the visuals more old-school.

However, this video brought up not only the technical presentation but also important news. This title will not be available anywhere except PS5 and PC for a year after its launch — until October 8, 2025. So Xbox players will have to wait for quite some time.

Developers from Bloober Team and publisher Konami have not commented on the potential release of the Silent Hill 2 remake on other consoles. Meanwhile, the updated version of Metal Gear Solid 3, also managed by Konami, is set to release simultaneously on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

There are no guarantees that the horror game will appear on Microsoft's platform immediately after the deal with Sony expires, as such ports are often delayed in these situations.
