NetherRealm and WB Games have unveiled the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, who will be arriving in Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday.

This character is quite unique in the sense that, by transforming into liquid metal, he can creatively dodge projectiles.  T-1000 is also likely to become a fan favorite among players who previously enjoyed playing as Kabal. While Kabal himself is not in the game, some of his signature weapons and moves have made their way into Mortal Kombat 1.

Let’s also talk about the references to the legendary film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. For example, we saw a recreation of the iconic scene where T-1000 wags his finger (by the way, did you know that this gesture is banned in the NBA as unsportsmanlike conduct?). He also asks Johnny Cage if he has seen John Connor.

The trailer also gave us a glimpse of Madam Bo, who will be added to the game alongside T-1000. Finally, in his Fatality, the liquid metal Terminator changes his appearance and replaces his victim—an efficient way for the machine to complete its mission.

No further announcements came from WB Games. Rumors suggest that this may be the last wave of new content for MK1 and that a new game announcement could be coming next. However, there is no confirmation of this yet.
